Before you book
Anything else, call or text us. A real person answers, Monday to Friday, 9 to 6.
Call or text 226-336-2077What if it only snows 4 cm?
We don’t come, and per-visit customers aren’t charged. Below 5 cm we leave it. A Winter Plan includes ice control on those light, borderline days, which is usually the part that actually matters underfoot.
Do I have to call you when it snows, or be home?
No. Once you’re on the route, the snowfall triggers the visit, not a phone call, and you don’t need to be home.
What happens if a storm runs all night?
The clock starts once the snow actually stops. A storm that stacks on a storm can push the route; our weather-delay terms are on the policies page.
Am I still responsible for my sidewalk if I hire you?
The bylaw responsibility sits with the property owner in both Kitchener and Waterloo, but every visit clears the city sidewalk out front, so that box is checked either way.
Is pet-safe salt actually eco-friendly?
No, and we won’t tell you it is. The Region of Waterloo says environmentally friendly ice melters still contain salt. Our pet-safe option is gentler on paws, concrete and garden beds, and we use only what’s needed either way.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes, on Standard, Complete and Priority. The season price is split into equal monthly payments, plus HST on each: the first when you sign up, the last by the end of March. The sooner you sign up, the more payments it is split into. From March on, a season plan is one payment. Each payment is rounded to the cent, so together they can come to a few cents more or less than paying once. Per visit is charged per clearing.
Can I cancel?
Any time, with 14 days’ notice. You only pay for clearings completed, and a prepaid season is refunded for the unused portion. Ontario also gives you a 10-day cooling-off period on a plan sign-up.
