What’s not included

• Larger trees are quoted on site, the fair price depends on what’s above the tree, what’s under it, and how much room there is to bring a limb down safely
• We don’t work near hydro lines and we don’t climb, if a job needs a bucket truck or a climber, we’ll say so on the visit instead of taking a run at it
• Full tree removals are somebody else’s job, we trim, we don’t take a whole tree down
• Hauling the trimmings away costs extra, tell us when you book if you want that included

When to trim in Kitchener-Waterloo

Dead or dangerous wood comes off whenever you spot it, there’s no reason to leave a cracked limb over a driveway until spring. For shaping, our crews wait until the spring flush of new growth has hardened off before cutting cedar hedges back, then do a lighter tidy-up in early fall. If there’s an active bird nest in a hedge, we’ll leave that section alone and come back later.

How much is a typical hedge? Hedge work is $125 an hour plus HST with a $75 minimum, so one short hedge often lands at the minimum and a long mature run costs more. Send a photo to 226-336-2077 and we’ll give you a realistic range before you book.

Will you take a whole tree down? No. We trim, remove dead and dangerous branches, and cut back clearance from your house and driveway. Full removals, climbing work and anything near hydro lines are outside what we do.

Do you take the trimmings away? We can, tell us when you book rather than on the day, since a load leaving on the truck is priced with the job.
