  4. Snow does the rest

Every 5 cm+ snowfall puts you on the route. No call, no app, no need to be home.

    What 5 cm means

A storm night, hour by hour.

Say a storm runs through the night and the snow stops at 6 a.m. Here’s how the day goes once you’re on the route.

Rain on a mowing day?

Lawns run on set route days by area. We don’t cut a soaked lawn just to keep a schedule: wet grass tears and the mower leaves ruts, so the visit moves to the next dry day on the route.

No time-of-day promise

Route order depends on the weather and who’s already on it. The windows here are usual times, not promises, and a storm that stacks on a storm can push the route.

  1. Evening

    Snow starts

Nothing for you to do. Below 5 cm, nothing happens and nobody is charged.

  2. Overnight

    5 cm on the ground

Your driveway goes on the route by itself. No call, no app, no need to be home.

  3. 6 a.m.

    The snow stops

The clock starts now, not when the first flake fell. If more snow starts in the same storm, it waits again.

  4. 9 a.m.

    Priority, usually done

3 hours after the snow stops: driveway, front path, city sidewalk and windrow, salted.

  5. 2 p.m.

    Complete, usually done

8 hours after the snow stops: driveway, front path, city sidewalk and windrow, salted.

  6. 6 p.m.

Standard and per visit, usually done

12 hours after the snow stops: driveway, front path, city sidewalk and windrow, salted.

  7. 6 a.m., next day

    The city’s sidewalk deadline

Kitchener and Waterloo both give owners 24 hours. Every plan is usually done long before.

An example. Every storm is different; the city rules are on our Kitchener and Waterloo pages.

Book snow clearing

  1. Step 1 of 6: Where do we clear?

We clear driveways in Kitchener and Waterloo, out to Mannheim. Find your address to check you’re on the route.

Start with the house number, then pick your address from the list.

  2. Step 2 of 6: How big is your driveway?

Count how many cars fit on your driveway, side by side and nose to tail. Each car is about 154 sq ft.

    2 carabout 308 sq ft

Bigger than 10 cars? Call or text, or send a message, and we’ll quote it.

  3. Step 3 of 6: Pick your plan

Every plan clears your driveway, front path, city sidewalk and the plow windrow at 5 cm, November 1 to April 15.

5 equal payments, the first today. They stop by themselves.

  4. Step 4 of 6: Anything extra?

A side or back path to another door?

Cleared every visit along with the rest. Priced for the season, plus HST.

Is your home on a corner lot?

The sidewalk across the front of your home is always included. A corner lot also has a sidewalk down the side street: that one is $105.00 a season, or $7.00 a clearing, per started 10 m. No charge if there’s no side-street sidewalk or the City clears it.

  5. Step 5 of 6: Your details

    For clearing-day questions

    Your receipt goes here

Cancel any time, with 14 days’ notice. You only pay for clearings completed, and a prepaid season is refunded for the unused portion. Ontario also gives you a 10-day cooling-off period on a plan sign-up.
