What junk removal costs
Starts at $450, plus HST. Most single-room or garage-size jobs land in this range. Large jobs put down the $450 deposit and the total is adjusted to the real size of the work.
A full day of work is $1,500, plus dump fees, plus HST. For a whole-house clear-out, an estate job, or anything that fills more than one truckload, this is the flat day rate. Dump fees are billed at cost off the scale ticket plus $15 handling per trip, a typical single trip runs around $75, but a heavy load of drywall or shingles weighs more than a load of boxes, so the ticket decides.
Jobs that fall between a quick pickup and a full day are estimated at roughly $190 an hour for the extra crew time and manpower involved.
Item fees (all plus HST)
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Appliance (fridge, freezer, AC, stove, washer) | $35 each |
| Mattress or box spring | $30 per piece |
| Tire | $10 car, $20 truck |
| TV or electronics | $20 per item |
| Stairs or long carry | $35 per flight, or per 50 ft |
| Same-day service | $95 flat, on top of the job |
How it works
- Tell us what’s there. Call or text 226-336-2077 with a couple of photos, they beat a description every time.
- We book a date, or same-day for $95 flat plus HST if the truck is free.
- We load it. You don’t carry anything.
- We sweep out the space, not just empty it.
- You get one invoice: the starting price or day rate, any item fees, the dump fee off the scale ticket, HST shown as its own line.
What we take, and what to ask about first
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, renovation debris, fencing, decking, yard waste, boxes, the contents of a garage that got away from someone, estate and move-out clear-outs too.
Ask us before the truck is booked about anything with fuel, propane, chemicals or paint in it, or anything that needs two strong people and a plan, like a hot tub or a full shed. Those aren’t automatic no answers, they’re things we price honestly instead of guessing at your door.
There’s a real reason we ask about that stuff first. The Region of Waterloo classes paint, solvents, propane tanks, batteries, fluorescent bulbs and motor oil as household hazardous waste. The Region runs two drop-off depots for it (925 Erb Street West, Gate 2, Waterloo, or 201 Savage Drive, Cambridge), alongside other take-back programs for paint and batteries. Ask us before you book if you have any of this in the pile, we’ll tell you what we can take and what needs to go through one of those programs instead.
Everything else that isn’t hazardous waste, we haul ourselves to the Region’s own landfill site at 925 Erb Street West in Waterloo, the only landfill operating in Waterloo Region, and that’s the scale ticket your dump fee is based on.
If the pile is mostly branches, leaves and garden waste rather than household junk, a yard clean up is usually the cheaper booking, and we’ll say so on the phone rather than sell you the truck.

FAQ
What does junk removal actually cost? Starts at $450 plus HST for a typical job. A full day of work is $1,500 plus dump fees plus HST. Large jobs put down the $450 deposit and get adjusted to the real size once we’ve seen it.
How is the dump fee worked out? By weight, at the scale, at cost, plus $15 handling per trip. Nothing about the disposal number is estimated after the fact.
Can you take it today? Often, yes. Same-day service is $95 flat plus HST on top of the job, subject to the truck being free. Call rather than email if today is the goal.
Do I have to be home? Someone needs to point at the pile and confirm what goes, at least at the start. For a garage or driveway pile, photos and a phone call can be enough, we’ll confirm when we book.
Do you recycle or donate anything? Where an item is genuinely reusable and a local drop-off will take it, we try. We don’t promise a diversion percentage we can’t prove.
