By booking a visit, signing up for a plan or placing an order on our website, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Bookings

When you book a one-time visit or a plan, we schedule your property onto a route with other properties in your area. Plan and season pricing come from our current pricing and are shown to you, with HST, before you pay.

Weather and rain days

Grass does not get mowed wet, and driveways only get cleared once the snow has stopped falling. If weather affects your booked day, we move your visit to the next suitable day at no extra charge.

The booked-day promise

We come on your booked day. We can’t promise a time, because rain days and reschedules change the route.

That applies to mowing visits specifically: we do not promise a time of day, only the day itself.

Winter terms

Our winter service terms:

Clearings after each 5 cm+ snowfall, usually within 12 h of snow stopping; during a big storm we may clear more than once; each clearing counts as a visit for per-visit customers, while qualifying clearings are included in seasonal plans; no specific time-of-day promise (route runs in order); seasonal plans include unlimited qualifying clearings from November 1 to April 15 for the fixed season price, with no extra clearing charges in unusually heavy winters; salting reduces ice but cannot fully remove it in extreme cold or freezing rain; keep vehicles off the driveway and clear hoses/cords/toys before winter.

Every clearing includes the driveway itself, the front path to your door, the city sidewalk in front of your home, and standard rock salt, no extra charge. The plow windrow at the end of your driveway is cleared on every visit too, per-visit and every winter plan tier, at no extra charge.

Payments and HST

All prices on our site and in our quotes are pre-HST. HST (13%) is added on top and shown as its own line. Payment is collected through Wix for online bookings and plan sign-ups, and through Jobber for invoiced jobs.

Plan sign-ups

When you sign up for a season or year-round plan, before you pay we show you: our business name and contact information, what is included, the total price with HST shown separately, how and when you pay, and your cancellation rights. You get a chance to review your order and correct a mistake before you confirm it. Within 15 days of signing up, we send you a written copy of your agreement by email.

We never pre-tick a box that renews or upgrades your plan. If we ever change what your plan includes partway through the season, we ask for your agreement first; we do not just send a notice and start charging a new price.

Season and year-round plans are ongoing services, so on top of our own cancellation policy, Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 gives you a 10-day, no-reason cancellation right after you sign up. See our refund and cancellation policy for the details.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our business or the law changes. Continuing to book with us after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

We take care while working on your property. We are not responsible for damage to items left on the lawn or driveway that were not removed before your visit, or for underground lines, buried objects or fencing that were not marked or told to us in advance. If something on your property is fragile or hidden, tell us before the visit.
