Refund and Cancellation Policy
This is our cancellation and refund policy for KW Lawn Mowing services in Kitchener and Waterloo, covering one-time visits, Winter Plans and other plans.
On this page
It sits alongside our Terms of Service on our policies hub.
Cancelling a one-time visit or plan
You can cancel any time with 14 days’ notice. You only pay for visits completed. Prepaid seasons refunded for the unused portion.
This replaces any older cancellation wording you may have seen; it is our own current policy, taken straight from our booking system.
Winter Plan (prepaid season)
The same rule applies to a prepaid Winter Plan: cancel any time with 14 days’ notice, pay only for the visits you’ve had, and the unused portion of a prepaid season is refunded.
Bought under our old “Season Package” name? The same policy applies to you.
Year-Round plans (monthly payments)
A Year-Round plan is billed differently: 12 equal monthly payments instead of one prepaid season. If you cancel a Year-Round plan partway through, we stop billing you once your 14 days’ notice runs out, and the payments you have already made are not refunded. The 10-day cooling-off right below still applies in full on a Year-Round sign-up.
The 10-day cooling-off right for plans (Ontario law)
Because a season or year-round plan is a continuing service, Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 gives you an extra right on top of our own 14-day policy: you can cancel a plan for any reason, no reason needed, within 10 days of the later of (a) the day you receive your written copy of the agreement, or (b) the day the service actually starts being available to you.
This 10-day right is separate from, and in addition to, our 14-day cancellation policy above. It does not replace it.
How to cancel
Call or text 226-336-2077, or email info@kwlawnmowing.com, and let us know you want to cancel. Give us 14 days’ notice: after that, you only pay for visits completed, and a prepaid season’s unused portion is refunded. For a Year-Round plan, the remaining monthly payments simply stop once your 14 days’ notice runs out; payments already made are not refunded. We don’t have an online account or a self-serve cancel page. Cancelling always goes through a real call, text or email to us, or the contact page, and we’ll confirm it back to you in writing so there’s a record for both of us.
