What’s included on every visit
Three things happen every time we’re on your property, and none of them are extras:
- Mow. Cut to the height you want, in a pattern we rotate so the grass doesn’t lean one way all season.
- Trim. String trimmer around the fence, the hydro pole, tree rings, garden beds, the AC unit and the mailbox post.
- Blow. Clippings blown off the driveway, the walkway and the street edge before we leave.
What’s not included
- Edging (a crisp spade or blade line along the driveway and walkway) is a $10 to $20 per-visit add-on, priced by lawn size.
- Bagging clippings instead of mulching them back into the lawn is $15 more per visit.
- Aeration, fertilizing and yard clean-ups are separate services. See core aeration, lawn care and organic fertilizing, and yard clean-up.
- Very overgrown lawns (grass over about a foot) need a first cut priced higher than a regular mow, because it’s a slow, two-pass job. We’ll tell you the number before we start.

What can move the price up
Some lots are just more work, and we’d rather say so before the first invoice than surprise you after it. These are priced on site, confirmed before you book:
- Corner lot: more frontage and more sidewalk edge to trim.
- Slopes or heavy obstacles: ravine backyards, retaining walls, a yard full of trees and beds.
- Overgrown first cut: grass that tall gets cut in two passes and takes real time.
Every 2 weeks is fine, spring included
On our website, biweekly mowing is available all season, spring included. The old rule that made spring bookings weekly-only doesn’t apply here. Pick weekly or biweekly at checkout and change your mind later if your lawn’s growth changes.
We come on your booked day
We can’t promise a time, because rain days and reschedules change the route. We don’t cut a soaked lawn just to hit a schedule either. Wet grass tears instead of cutting, and the mower leaves ruts, so a rain day moves to the next dry day on our route.

Real facts about mowing here
- We never take more than a third of the blade off in one cut. Cutting shorter than that stresses the lawn and leaves it prone to browning in a KW summer. (OMAFRA mowing guidance)
- The mowing season here runs April 15 to November 1. Grass in Waterloo Region is usually ready for its first cut by mid-April and slows down for good by early November.
- We mow Kitchener and Waterloo, with Mannheim at the edge. We don’t serve Cambridge.
How booking works
- Tell us your address and rough lawn size, or use the free assessment if you’re not sure.
- Pick weekly, biweekly or one-off, and the day that suits you.
- We mow on your booked day and text or email when we’re done.
- Pay securely online at checkout, or by Jobber invoice for an invoiced job.
Frequently asked questions
How do you decide which tier my lawn is? By the measured square footage of the grass we actually cut, not your total lot size. Use the lawn size guide to get close, or book the free assessment and we’ll confirm it.
Can I switch between weekly and biweekly mid-season? Yes. Tell us before your next visit and we’ll adjust the schedule going forward.
Do I have to be home? No. We need gate access and the dog inside.
Do you use chemicals on the lawn? Not for mowing, that’s just a machine and a blade. Our fertilizing program is organic. See organic fertilizer.
Pairs well with
Mowing is the visit we’re on your street most often, which makes it the easy time to add other work. Core aeration in spring and organic fertilizer applications through the season both work best alongside a regular mowing schedule. If your yard needs a reset before a regular mow can keep up with it, start with a yard clean-up. For the full season bundled at a discount, see our summer plans.
