Hedge and Tree Trimming in Waterloo, Ontario

This is a quoted service, not a checkout item, priced at $125 an hour plus HST for hedges ($75 minimum) and $95 to $150 plus HST for small tree trims. Out on the newer west-end streets, Laurelwood and Columbia Forest, cedar hedges facing full sun thin and brown from the inside, and cedar never regrows from bare old wood, so we cut to the green and say honestly if a section needs replacing. On the mature-canopy streets, Beechwood, Westvale and Lincoln Heights, the maples themselves are the job: limbs lifted off the eavestrough, the garage roof and the driveway. Trees on the boulevard strip between the sidewalk and the road may not be ours to cut, so we check with the City of Waterloo before anyone prunes those, us included.

My Laurelwood cedars are brown at the bottom. Can you cut them back to fix that? No. Cedar doesn’t regrow from bare wood, so we trim to the green and tell you honestly if the bare section needs a replacement plant instead.

There’s no rear access to my Uptown Waterloo back yard. Does that cost extra? There’s no separate surcharge for it. The barrow route is time on the job, so it’s already inside the estimate you get before we start.
