Mulch Installation in Waterloo, Ontario

Every order adds a $110 delivery charge, and the smallest job runs $419 plus HST, delivery included. Waterloo’s beds don’t all behave the same way. On the newer west-end streets, Laurelwood, Columbia Forest and Conservation Meadows, builder beds are shallow and turn weedy by year three, and anything backing onto Laurel Creek conservation land collects blown-in leaves every fall that mat last year’s mulch into a crust. On the older, mature-canopy streets, Beechwood, Westvale and Lincoln Heights, maples throw surface roots right through the front beds, so mulch there goes in thinner over exposed roots and never piled against a trunk.

What’s included

Per cubic yard, delivered and spread, plus HST. Half-yard minimum order.

Waterloo FAQ

Do my Laurelwood beds need the old mulch removed first? Not always. If it’s broken down and under about 2 inches, we go right over it. If it’s matted or crusted, common on streets backing onto conservation land, it comes out first at $45 a yard of new mulch.

My Beechwood bed sits under a big maple. Does that change anything? Yes. We spread thinner over exposed surface roots and keep mulch off the trunk itself, rather than piling it deep the way an open, sunnier bed can take.
