My Laurelwood lawn is only a few years old. Does it really need aeration already? Often, yes. A newer lot’s packed subsoil doesn’t fix itself with time, and it’s usually the newest lawns on the west end that dry out first in a hot July.

Is a sloped Westvale or Laurelwood back lawn worth aerating? It’s often the one that needs it most. A slope on compacted ground sheds water fastest, so the holes do more work there than on flat ground.
